Responsible for the verification of applicant history in the driver hire process. In conjunction with data entry, scheduling applicants for orientation, and other duties related to hiring process.
Duties & Responsibilities
Contact applicants on telephone to obtain any missing personal data to complete the application.
Contact former employers, neighbors, trade associates and others by telephone or fax to verify driver employment record and history; ensure applicant meets USX hiring guidelines and DOT regulations.
Examine records including: DAC, CDLIS, MVRs and PSP to verify driving record, employment history, convictions, etc. Maintain excel records of all CDLIS report corrections.
Enter data in Forms Manager Software and Xpress Indexer Software to complete DOT application and driver file.
Analyze information and prepare reports of findings and recommendations; notify Recruiters of any disqualifying factors.
Process reports for open dispositions within the Xpress Recruiter database software.
Contact and schedule driver applicants for orientation through the Internal Recruiting Database.
Order bus tickets for applicants; cancel bus tickets for applicants who ‘no showed’, follow up with Greyhound to ensure ticket is cancelled.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-2 years in a related business field: transportation, recruiting or sales.
Basic written and oral communication skills.
Basic computer skills required; experience with Microsoft Office suite.
Good interpersonal skills.
Good judgment and problem solving skills.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements – Normal office settings.
This is an hourly position with a paygrade of HR04.
