This position acts as a liaison between our customers in the US and Mexico branches. The Specialist will develop and steer Product Cost Optimization ideas, technical solutions using customer specific tools within the standard designs – and manufacturing processes.

• Develop and implement Product Cost Optimization ideas (Interior, Exterior, Powertrain)

• Support the Project House at our customer VWGoA, Engineering and Planning Center, in Chattanooga

• Design support and know-how transfer

• Review CAD drawings and models

• Project Coordination for Series Engineering & Model Upgrading Training

• Preparation of ÄKO´s & compilation of documents (Change Management)

• Status reporting for expert committees

• Preparation of part lists & approval applications

• KVS / Connect Data Management

• Review and develop AVON data

• Bachelor Degree in engineering field

• 2+ years’ experience in related field (quality engineering, design engineering, product engineering, etc.)

• 2+ years of automotive experience including working with component suppliers, development groups, service providers or manufacturer producing or servicing components used in the automotive field.

• Experience in Automotive Development and Production Support

• Experience with Research & Development, KVS, AVON

• Experience and knowledge in Project Management

• Problem solving experience

• Knowledge of Standard Software Tools and Analysis processes

• Technical leadership skills, with an ability to direct the technical activities of lower level employees.

• Strong communication skills

• International mind-set

• Experience with the automotive industry

• Technical fluency in Spanish and English highly preferred

• Basic German skills are a plus
